When we dream?
Know that sleep is made up of several cycles of different phases to understand in what time of the night involved the dreams.
-Light sleep corresponds to the three phases of the slow wave sleep
-The deep sleep corresponds to the phase of the Paradoxical sleep (P.S.)
These phases follow one another and are repeated throughout the night. In general, it was during the fifth phase, called phase of PS, that the dreams appear. Very often, they would begin about 90 minutes after the beginning of sleep.
If ones wakes someone up during this phase of deep sleep, 85% of people remember the dream against only 10 to 15% if there is a place for another period of the night.
It happens that some people are dreaming during the light sleep. Less rich in details, these dreams contain fewer elements of movement, less emotional elements and less colors in relation to the other dreams.
How much time does dream it on average?
The frequency of dreams is determined exclusively by the remembrance that we have.A "normal" individual dreams on average 100 minutes per night.
The more we advance in the night, the longer the duration of the dreams are lengthening.
The first part of the night would be 10 minutes, the second 20, the third and the fourth 30.
Well - sure these figures do not apply to every individual.
There are more or less 'good' dreamers.

During the dreams, the time elapses and goes on at the same rate as that of the everyday life.Sometimes, however, that some dreams take place much more quickly than in reality and across a multitude of events in a few seconds, mainly during wake causes.
This is the case of a particular sleep interrupted by a ringing in which dream is prolonged and found its epilogue in a very short period of time.
For example, suppose that the phone rings. We will have very little time to wake us up and out of our dream. But yet this ringtone will cause many situations dreamlike images. (Pursuit race in a train station, the train started, he whistled ..... )
Why don't we remember our dreams?
It is possible to control the content of our dreams. It is called a lucid dream: dream by having conscience to be dreaming.
These lucid dreams have long been the subject of polemics and controversy but their existence has been proven formally in the 1970s. They are defined as a a "mixed state, an overlap between paradoxical sleep and enabled processes corresponding to the Awakening".
These dreams are different and only 10 to 20% of the population do that in fact regularly. These are most often women and young people.
The simplest lucid dreams are to interrupt a nightmare saying that "this is only a dream" and to wake up a few seconds later.
But some people go much further in the mastery of their dreams. They are able to modify the content of their dreams as, for example, reveal objects, change places...

Does everyone dream?
Some people remember their dreams, others do not.For most individuals, the duration of dreams corresponds to approximately 100 minutes per night, with effects of amnesia more or less important.
More you wake up at a time close to the Paradoxical Sleep and more the probability will be great remember the dream. If we wake up so during the second part of the night, we will have more chance to remember the dreams than if we do in the first part, simply because the duration of the deep sleep is lengthened at the end of the night while the light sleep tends to disappear in the last cycles of the sleep.
How to remember our dreams?
Most people do not pay too much attention to their dreams, but as soon as they start to show interest, they remember them more regularly. It is true that it is not always possible to remember a dream because of the time that elapses between the dream and the time of awakening. Why the erotic dreams occur?
Sexuality plays a very important role in the life of each individual. That is why the erotic dreams seem quite normal and natural (the total absence of this kind of dreams could be misinterpreted). But the sexual dream, in physical form, is more rare than one might think. Indeed the desire seems veiled and accommodated by the censors, according to the morality and more or less solid education of the dreamer. The erotic dreams are therefore more often indirect, using many allegories. It is the proximity of the side instinctive and animal of our impulses which explain the frequency of animal allegories in our dreams.
The strength of our sexual appetites can as well be interpreted by the nature of the animal: The bull, the horse, the serpent, the dog will give an idea of the strength of these impulses. The sexual organs in our dreams refer to the plant world: it is almost
always of some determined fruit and vegetables, which are used as symbols.
It is only when the dreams talk intensely about the erotic lifestyle, because the latter is out of adjustment.
