The conference of Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and suicide

A major conference concerning mental health in Ottawa makes patients and researchers close to issues of Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and suicide
OTTAWA, March 25, 2014 /CNW/ - Her Excellency Mrs. Sharon Johnston will participate in a major conference on mental health which will take place on 26 and 27 March in Ottawa. The participation of the federal government will be the subject of another opinion.

CDRINThe 2014 edition of this conference of a Canadian Depression Research and Intervention Network (CDRIN), entitled transforming the depression by relations, aims to examine the ideas and emerging challenges; to share the progress made and the knowledge at the national level; to improve the understanding by participants of various initiatives that are available to them in the field of mental health; and to demonstrate the contribution that the CDRIN can make to the work of researchers as to the needs of patients on the national scene. The number of key participants include physicians, mental health experts and persons on the actual lived experience.

The CDRIN has been announced during a previous budget and the bases have since been laid for bringing researchers and front-line workers so that they can manage the depression effectively - with a particular emphasis on the PTSD and suicide.

We will discuss during the conference other ways to advance these issues.
