Mosquitoes : A million deaths each yearMosquitoes are the cause of one million deaths each year. Mosquitoes can transmit diseases via the bites. Malaria as a  mosquito-borne infectious disease of humans and other animals, is known to be among the infectious diseases the most dangerous in the world. Via the bite of a mosquito female, it can infect the liver cells of a person which flows by the suite in blood where contamination.

The WHO (World Health Organization) follows very closely the disease and after the figures disseminated more than 220 million people have been affected by malaria. It is a very worrying disease which particularly affects pregnant women and children under the age of five years. 80% Of sufferers have been recorded in Africa sub-Saharan. Several researchers are geared on the achievement of effective treatments against this infectious disease and several tests have been put forward in order to combat these mosquitoes that cause damage to many.

malariaAmong the recent research, there is one carried out and done by researchers Anglo-Italians who have turned to sterility of male mosquitoes. Thanks to the manipulation of mosquito genes, they would try to slow down the growth of these mosquitoes or decline their contamination. The search continues, but it will take a lot of time and especially a huge financial support.
