World Health Day: the vector-borne diseases

Monday, April 7, 2014 will be devoted to vector-borne diseases. The vectors, which can be a mosquit, a fly, a pushpin or any other body, transfer a parasite of a subject - which may be an animal - to another. One of the most known and most deadly is malaria. But there are many others such as dengue fever, the lymphatic filariasis, chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis, yellow fever, onchocerciasis, the leishmanioses, trypanosomiasis, Chagas disease ...
