The vectors, which can be a mosquit, a fly, a pushpin or any other body, transfer a parasite of a subject - which may be an animal - to another. One of the most known and most deadly is malaria. But there are many others such as dengue fever, the lymphatic filariasis, chikungunya, Japanese encephalitis, yellow fever, onchocerciasis, the leishmanioses, trypanosomiasis, Chagas disease ... On the occasion of World Health Day, Michele Diaz has visited a research center in Burkina Faso, the special feature is to bring together researchers from the South and the North.
